The Baba Garia Vocational Training Centre continues to empower rural youth with valuable skills for self-reliance. Training courses in computer literacy, tailoring, motor driving, electrical repair, weaving, and bamboo craft are being provided free of cost to students from underprivileged backgrounds.
Over the past year, more than 120 students successfully completed their courses, with many already finding employment or starting small businesses in their villages. The Mission’s initiative focuses on creating sustainable livelihoods while preserving local craftsmanship.
The program has received strong community support and participation, especially from young women eager to become financially independent. Trainers from various technical fields are volunteering their time to mentor students.
Through these efforts, Baba Garia Mission continues to transform education into empowerment, ensuring that skill development reaches every corner of Tripura and contributes to the region’s social and economic growth.
